When the world famous Heritage Attractions Great Britain Group contacted Simworx about the possibility of a new attraction for one of its flag ship venues at the world famous Lands End venue their brief was simple : “An attraction that will not only give us repeat revenues from local visitors, but also to wow holidaymakers that visit once a year”.
The result was a wonderful 100 seat 4D Effects Cinema, that utilizes the fantastic cave style theming within the theatre room. The attraction has proven to be a big success for the operator and is hugely popular with their visitors.
Guests are washed up with the Robinson Crusoe in Jolly Roger before being rescued by a crew of pirates where action ensues and everything they see is in 3D and hear in powerful cinema surround sound ─not to mention the added effects of water squirt, air blasts, seat movement and more.
David Bryans, General Manager of Lands End, commented on the installation “The project was the result of five months hard work, but we were delighted to open the theatre on schedule. All the guys from Simworx have been fantastic. We are very pleased with the response to the 4D cinema so far. It appeals to children and adults alike. The reactions from the visitors (during a show) are just unbelievable!”
