Sky Rex, the first Immersive Tunnel attraction to be opened in Malaysia, was Installed by Simworx at Panorama Langkawi, a visitor attraction that offers a variety of different experiences and facilities to guests.
The attraction features a 30-seat, tracked tram and a brand new ride film, Dinosaur Island, produced exclusively for Simworx’s 30-seat version of the ride, which is also available with 60, 90 and 120 seats.
After entering the SkyRex, visitors take their seats on a jeep styled simulator, which after a short journey along a track into the main show area takes them, and are taken on a 5-minute fun-filled journey which at Panorama Langkawi is dinosaur-themed.
The jeep unit sits on a highly dynamic, 3DOF motion base that assaults that senses with physical platform drops, dynamic motion, blasts of air, water spray, vibrations, dramatic lighting, surround sound and 3D film projected to the front and both sides of the vehicle, combined to give the most realistic experience possible. Equipped with five 3D version projectors, SkyRex immerses passengers in a simulated 3D environment produced on a curved surround-screen.
